Gee golly, two blog posts in one week! I can’t believe it either.
I’m just popping in to let you know what you can expect to see from me in the next few days and how you can follow along.
In just a couple of hours I will be boarding a plane and heading to Nashville for FranCamp 2011. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of the planning process and am very much looking forward to speaking about Facebook Strategies – Local vs National Pages, Facebook Places and Tips to Engage Your Fan Base.
We have an awesome line-up in store for our attendees; an audience comprised of franchisors and franchisees from all over the country coming together for a one day hands-on, social media boot camp. Our aim was to make this day of social media unlike any other. Instead of your usual social media conference where you walk away knowing you need to use social media but having no idea in the world what to do next – we will be sharing real, actionable tips, that will leave our audience with great ideas and an enhanced sense of exactly what they need to do and steps towards achieving their social media marketing goals.
Throughout the day on Saturday, I will be tweeting via my @akstout18 twitter account using the hashtag, #FranCamp. I will also try to share as much as possible on the Saying It Social Facebook Page and my Google Plus profile. There are a few easy ways to follow along with the hashtag. You can use tweetchat.com to see tweets, you can use topsy.com to see posts on Google Plus, and you can do a public search on Facebook to see Facebook posts. You can also peek into our FranCamp Ustream to actually watch some clips of what we are up to!
If you are in Nashville but aren’t able to attend FranCamp on Saturday, perhaps you can come to our Tasti FranCamp Tweetup at the Nashville, TN Tasti D-Lite (West End).
And, for those of you who aren’t in Nashville, beside following along with the #FranCamp hashtag, I hope you can join Deb Evans and me for Social Geek Radio tonight as we talk about Managing and Monitoring Social Media with special guest, Ashley Betzendal, SocialWeb Communications Manager for The Goddard School. You may even get to see our smiling faces as we attempt to use UStream since we will be broadcasting from the same location for the first time!
